Your 10-Day Adventure Uganda Safari will include phenomenal wildlife encounters in Uganda’s most sought-after national parks. Your safari will begin from Entebbe and end in Kigali. The parks to visit include Murchison Falls National Park, kibale Forest National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park.
On your first day, your driver guide will receive and welcome you to Uganda from Entebbe International Airport. He will then transfer you to Kampala, from where he will drop you off at your hotel and brief you about the safari. Dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Latitude 0 Degrees (Luxury)
After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Murchison Falls, driving to the northwest and passing through the famous Luwero Triangle. You will stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino trekking. Ziwa is the only place in Uganda where you will see these endangered magnificent species in their natural habitat. You will have a lunch stop in Masindi and then proceed to Murchison Falls for a canopy walk next to your lodge.
Dinner and Overnight at Sambiya River Lodge (Mid-Range)
Early in the morning, you will have a game drive around the northern banks of the Nile. At this time, you have great chances of spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, and hartebeests, to mention but a few bird species. Return to your lodge for lunch as you await a boat cruise in the afternoon. You will cruise to the bottom of the falls, and you will see how the water forces itself out through an 8-meter gorge. You will spot hippos and other mammals drinking water from the river bank. Thereafter, you will hike to the top of the falls, from where you will witness beauty at its peak. Dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Sambiya River Lodge (Mid-Range)
Enjoy your early morning breakfast, and thereafter, you will transfer to Kibale Forest National Park, located south of Murchison Falls National Park. You will view several local homesteads, green countryside, and local farms along the Albertine Rift escarpment. If you wish, you can stopover here for picture moments. The journey to Kibale takes about 7 hours, including a lunch stopover. Arrive and check-in at the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge (Mid-Range)
Today after breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the park headquarters for a briefing on the do’s and don’ts when you are with the chimpanzees. You will be assigned a park ranger and thereafter start the search for these beautiful primates. This forest is also home to 13 primate species, including the black and white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and others, which you will meet along the way. On finding the chimpanzees, you will have a maximum of 1 hour in their presence. Use this hour to notice every single action and ask your ranger guide as many questions as possible. Take pictures and then return to your lodge for lunch. Later in the day, you will proceed to Bigodi Swamp for a walk, and here you will spot several birds and butterfly species along with some primates. You will have experience with the Bigodi community and learn how to brew gin from bananas. Return to your lodge thereafter for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Lodge (Mid-Range)
After having a tasty breakfast, you will head to Queen Elizabeth National Park, located just 2 hours away from Kibale Forest. On arrival, you will check in for lunch and relaxation. Later in the day, you will enjoy a crater game drive, which will bring you close to several mammals like the lonely male buffaloes and elephants. You will also see flamingos on Lake Munyanyange. After this experience, drive back for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Buffalo Safari Lodge (Mid-Range)
Queen Elizabeth National Park is known for having 4 of the Big 5 mammal species, and these are elephants, buffaloes, lions, and leopards. And during your morning drive, you will get to spot them except for the leopard; if lucky, you will spot them as well since they are nocturnals. Other mammals to spot are waterbucks, Uganda kobs, sitatunga, giant forest hogs, Topi, and many others. After the drive, you will enjoy a soothing meal with some bit of rest. Later in the afternoon, you will go for a mind-blowing boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel joins Lake Edward to Lake George, and it is known for being home to the largest concentration of hippos. Other water birds and crocodiles will as well be seen during the cruise. Return later for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Buffalo Safari Lodge (Mid-Range)
Today, you will transfer to Bwindi via the Ishasha sector, which is renowned for its tree-climbing lions. These lions are usually seen resting on the tree branches either after a successful hunt or resting due to the scorching sun. You will then continue to Bwindi, and the distance will depend on which sector you will be tracking from. Check in for dinner and an overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge (Luxury)
Very early in the morning, you will be driven to the park headquarters, from where you will meet your fellow tourists for a briefing on the do’s and don’ts when you are with the mountain gorillas. You will be assigned a park ranger who will take you through the entire forest as you search for these gentle giants. The impenetrable forest has several bird species, which you will stop briefly to watch. Continue with the search for the gorillas, and on finding them, you will be allowed 1 full hour to have an encounter with them. You will notice their behaviors and how they take care of their young ones just like human beings. After that, return to the lodge for your lunch, and later, the batwa will be ready to showcase their skillful performances for you. This community were the early inhabitants of the impenetrable forest before it was established as a national park; therefore, their life revolves around the forest. You will learn how they used to hunt for food in their ancient ways and return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Dinner and Overnight at Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge (Luxury)
On this final day of your safari, you will have a relaxed breakfast and thereafter hit the road to Kigali for your departure flight via the Cyanika border. You will be amazed by how clean and organized the City of Rwanda is. Mind you, Kigali is ranked the cleanest city in Africa, and it is endowed by the thousand hills that make it a destination worth visiting. Before heading to the airport, you will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a place for the commemoration of the lives that were lost during the Rwandan Genocide. Proceed to the airport for your departure flight.
